Wat een geweldig verblijf. Ruim, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Communicatie met de eigenaren is erg goed.
Het is een prima uitvalbasis om hele mooie hoogtepunten van IJsland te ontdekken.

Deze woning is zeer geschikt voor 4 á 5 personen als je in de omgeving van Selfoss wil overnachten. Zeker ook voor een langere periode. Alles is aanwezig.: goede keuken, mooi en gezellig interieur, goede badkamer, af-/wasmachine/droogkast. Geen enkel minpunt eigenlijk. De ligging zelf in een 'bungalow-wijk' leek ons eventjes raar maar dat ben je snel vergeten. Restaurantjes en supermarkt vlakbij.

Thanks so much! It was Amazing! Everyone really enjoyed everything we saw (apart from the Black Sand Beach, me, mum and Izzy nearly got pulled out to sea by the Deadly Sneaker Waves). But apart from that everything was Thumbs Up.

Thank you for providing an amazing house for us to stay in!! (Even though the snow was 10 cm thick and the ice was 15 cm thick and half of the time we were soaked out of our skull).

Fred's place is home. Home is Fred's place. There's nothing less than a feeling like home at Fred's place. It's located in a such lovely town Selfoss and supermarkets are all nearby. It could sleep us 4 comfortably and definitely could fit a 5th person. The cooking facilities were awesome - we cooked almost every meal in his house. The beds are great. There's a drawer full of information and brochures and there's suggested routes too - even books about secret hot springs. It also has the genuine Iceland hot water that has the Sulfur smell - something that we expected in other B&Bs in Iceland but got disappointed.

This house in Selfoss is beautifully appointed with everything a traveler needs to feel at home and to relax. The owners are very responsive to email and telephone. The house is within walking distance of a small grocery store and within a 5 minute drive of to larger grocery stores and the downtown in general. It has easy access to a beautiful beach and the Golden Circle and is just an hour and a half from the airport. I would highly recommend this as a headquarters for exploring southern Iceland.Reactie

La casa de Fred es una casa perfecta para ir en grupo o en familia, muy limpia y comoda, tiene todo lo necesario para poder pasar unos dias. Nosotros eramos 5 y estuvimos como en nuestra propia casa. Esta situada en un sitio perfecto para visitar el Golden Circle y empezar la ruta por el sur de la Isla. Cuando vuelva no dudare en volver a casa de Fred, ha sido perfecto.

Everything was perfect: home quiet, very clean, good beds, everything in the kitchen, all you need for babies, and a lot of informations to discover the area of Selfoss! It was a great pleasure to spend some days in family at Fred's home!

Wat een leuk en compleet huisje, echt aan alles is gedacht! En ook zo centraal in IJsland. Binnen een uurtje rijden vind je bijna alles wat je gezien moet hebben in IJsland.

The house is really well equipped with all things what you need. We where here with the whole family (2 adults, 2children) for 14 days and felt like in a second home. The size is also very comfortable. Its no problem to be here with 6 or 7 persons. The design of the rooms is very fresh and lovely. The furniture is new. We slept in the beds very good, the mattresses are very good
The free WiFi is very fast and a Smart TV (TV over Internet possible) with BlueRay player is also available. The kitchen is completely equipped, in a separate room there is also a washing machine and a dryer, so you can save luggage when you arrive by airplane.
The communication with the renter Judith and Fred was uncomplicated. The advices for Iceland and also the trip tips are very helpfull. There are a lot of information material in the house, also guidebooks and street maps. The environment of the house is very silent (end of street).
The town Selfoss is direct on the ringroad No. 1 and a very good starting point for sightseeing tours in southwest Iceland and not so far away from the capital Reykjavik (60km/max 1h). In Selfoss there are a lot of supermarkets and stores where you can buy everything. You find also restaurants from fast food up to upper class. Even the antlantic coast is reachable in 15 min by car, we saw very beautifull sunsets on the black sand and blue water beach.
We missed nothing and had a wonderfull time in the house. We can fully recommend to stay there.

Lage und Ausstattung des Ferienhauses entsprechen der Beschreibung, sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Vermieter geben ausführliche Tips für Ausflüge, Infos zur Schlüsselübergabe usw. Ferienhaus ist sehr zu empfehlen, bei 4 Personen sehr geräumig, mit 6 Personen sicher auch kein Platzmangel.

The home is lovely and exactly as described. It has everything needed for a great stay! It was ideal for our group of 3 adults; We used it as a base for exploring the Golden Circle. Fred and Judith had good suggestions on routes and things to see and do. (We also recommend dinner at Tryggvaskali in town which was outstanding).

Thank so much for a wonderful stay in Selfoss! The apartment / house felt like hom. Even for a short threeday stay. We used is as a means to wash clothes, cook a dinner or two and explore this fun little town. And of course, it was very useful as a base of operations to explore The Golden Circle, the coast and other incredible highlights!

My family and I stayed at the house for 4 days while in Selfoss and it felt like our home away from home! The house was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. It was nicely furnished, tastefully decorated and very clean. The house was stocked with maps and information about various day trips and sights to see in the area along with information about local amenities such as groceries - all of which we found very useful. Judith and Fred were very easy to communicate with and were quick to answer if we had any questions. The slippers available for our use were a nice touch ;) All in all we had a wonderful time!

We stayed 5 days (3 Persons). The house is very homelike, clean and fully equipped. Perfect place for day tours in southern Iceland. Since it is located in a residential neighborhood we could observe regular Icelandic living. The unconsumed food will not be casted away what fully comply with my attitude towards life.

We spend a few lovely days at nICEstay in Selfoss - the house is nicely situated, close to everything you could wish for, but not at a main road - so nice & quiet. You'll find the house fully equipped, bright & very welcoming. The Hosts put together day tours & there'll be Infos & Flyers around the house.
We stayed as a couple, but you can easily stay with up to seven People. An hour from Reykjavik & amazing sights & places to visit. I recommend visiting :)

We stayed at this house for 6 nights and we were 6 people (2 small children) and it was a great time. There was enough space for everyone, everything was in a really good shape and the owners were very friendly and helpful per mail and telephone. We never had an appartment before that was equiped so good. Also there was no problem despite we booked the house just one day before arriving. We really can recommend this house for everyone!

Nice, comfortable home. Perfectly situated. Close to all major places of interest in South Iceland. Good beds, fully equiped.

Would certainly come back.
